ABDUL RAZAQ AJALA’S ‘COMMON POOL FOR COMMON BENEFITS…

by Feferity

…brings succour to residents.

To the staffs and workers of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Nigeria,  Hon. Abdul Razaq Ajala is the chairman.  But he meant more to the people and residents. In his continued quest to fulfil his promises to the people, he has taken his administration’s credo, “Common Pool for Common Benefits”  to the grass root as he provides more succour for the people of OdI-Olowo/Ojuwoye. By this, he wants every resident to benefit from the commonwealth which he as the political head and the LCDA looks after on their behalf.

Young, vibrant, full of vigour and energy, he runs around like an athlete. This reflects greatly in his running of the affairs of the Local Council Development Area, as he literarily dots on the equally fledging LCDA.

The LCDA is one of the 37 Area Councils carved out of the existing 20 Local Governments by the Administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while at the helms of affairs as the Executive Governor of the State in the year 2003. The Area used to be a part of the old Mushin Local Government.

In a brief chat with FEFERITY MAGAZINE during the distribution of study materials to students of public schools in the Council Area, he said: ‘I believe in utilizing the commonwealth for the greater good of the people, and these social intervention programs is a way of reaching the masses’.

Since Hon. Ajala took over from Hon. Adeyemi Alli, now an Honourable member, Federal House of Representatives in 2014 as the Executive Chairman, he has impacted greatly on all facets of the life of the residents of Odi Olowo/Ojuwoye.

Particularly, since 2017, he has turned the Area to a massive construction site. He embarked on massive road constructions and rehabilitations in all the nooks and crannies of the Council, fixing roads and building drainages, frontally tackling the environmental issue by purchasing more refuse collectors’ trucks. In the education sector, he provided pupils and students with a free bus ride to and from school, free textbooks and exercise books for the primary schools’ pupils and secondary schools’ students in the area.

Also, the Nigerian Police benefited when he on behalf of the council donated mini-buses to the Divisional in Ilupeju, Lagos to further aid the security efforts of the Command and much more.
